We invite children to a special storytelling hour – with tales from different universes, strong heroes, clever animals, and courageous characters. A space to listen, to wonder, and to dream.

Afterwards, there will be a small creative session – drawing, asking questions, or simply lingering a little longer in the story.

Once a month, we open the shop after closing time for shared silent reading. Everyone brings their own book or discovers one on site. We begin with a short welcome – then read quietly for 60 minutes. Afterwards, there’s an opportunity to stay, have a drink, and connect.

We invite you to a children’s afternoon at fome books in Willisau: «Lia am Ball – The Football Fairytale of Her Life» will be presented at our shop – possibly followed by a book signing.
This lovingly told children’s book shares the story of Swiss professional footballer Lia Wälti and how she courageously pursues her dream together with her friends. An inspiring afternoon about team spirit, perseverance, and believing that big dreams can come true.

In the book «Was ich dir nicht sage», Anja Nunyola Glover engages deeply with her personal story and the structures of racism.
While recovering from a back injury, she reflects on the emotional weight this injury has triggered. In each chapter, she weaves together autobiographical experiences with critical social analysis, powerfully illustrating how profoundly racism permeates everyday life.
