I was allowed to put together this bouquet from the open exhibition in the Botanical Garden, as frost was expected the next day. It was a true joy to hold all these flowers in my arms! I couldn’t wait to paint them. I'm pleased with this painting—I captured the subtle color relationships quite well, I ignored the shadows, and I played with rays of light on the petals.»
