    Songs of Love and Hate captured Cohen at one of his finest hours as a songwriter, and the best selections (especially «Famous Blue Raincoat,» «Joan of Arc» and «Love Calls You by Your Name») are among the most satisfying works of his career. If Songs of Love and Hate isn’t Cohen’s best album, it comes close enough to be essential for anyone interested in his work. To go with this, Cacahuete 2015 from Domaine Mamarúta Languedoc.
    20 days of maceration in wooden truncated cone vats. Very gentle, by hand, pressing down the cap, as well as light pumping over with a bucket, then gentle pressing. A complex, open, lively wine with aromas of thyme, lavender and black fruit. Heartwarming.

    THYMIAN’s music invites you to dance as well as to dream and sometimes seems like a portal into another time and world. Stylistically at home in New Wave/Post Punk, Zurich-based multi-instrumentalist Josip Tijan is influenced by bands like «Gold Class», «Drab Majesty» or electro-pop legends Depeche Mode. His harmonious baritone vocals, driving basslines and reverb-laden guitar melodies are just a few of THYMIAN’s trademarks. After releasing his self-titled debut EP in 2019, which was entirely self-recorded and produced in his bedroom, we now get to pair his debut album «Rhythm of Doubt» with Herter Pairen's Pinot Noir, hailing from Winterthur.
    Dark eroticism, combines everything to desire. A very sensual soft, deep dark fruit, dark berries, cherries, a touch of cassis, seems very supple, fleshy, so soft and seductive, a touch of sweetness, a touch of freshness, so much style, a lot of intellect, with such a clear, yet wicked balance, this confident play with vice, dark spice, undergrowth, a lot of experience. On the palate again this beautiful, quiet eroticism, a little more varnish and leather now, provocative clear berry fruit, raspberry, fresh vegetal notes, the exciting freshness, like a bright beam in the otherwise dark fruit and spice, how light everything seems now, how much you can forget everything about it and how long you have this beautiful experience on your lips!
