This is what it's all about.

In just one year, we independently united over 30 international artists and staged 4 productions with more than 30 performances. Now, as we prepare for a new season, we — Regina Raimjanova and Daniil Posazhennikov, the founders and artistic leaders of 3rd Echelon Theater — need your support. We’ve built everything so far without stable funding, out of belief and passion. But to continue, we need a moment of stability — support that covers not only artistic creation, but also the administrative work, time, and planning needed to grow our theater and shape the next season.

This crowdfunding campaign is also about funding our next production — a milestone piece for us as co-authors of the theater. This upcoming work will reflect everything we’ve learned, questioned, and discovered in our first season — and push us into deeper artistic territory.

Our project is special because...

In our first season, we reimagined baroque tragedy as a noir opera in an old crematorium («LA-MEN-TO 1»), explored social body horror in «Die Zecke», did a documentary-style childhood research and turned it into the sci-fi spectacle «Solaris1994». We also held different special events, like concerts and public talks. Each piece was unique — and together, they earned us recognition from NZZ am Sonntag as one the best cultural highlights of 2024.

Regina Raimjanova: «The name 3rd Echelon Theater reflects both my identity as an artist from Uzbekistan and my commitment to creating international theater in Switzerland. As an actress with an accent in the German-speaking scene, I sometimes face limitations — but I also find creative potential in working with those boundaries. I care about building spaces that stay open: to change, to inspiration, and to voices that don’t always fit into traditional frames.»

This is what we need backing for.

We’re asking for support not just for a single production, but for sustainable continuation — for space to plan our next season, to maintain our communications with the audience, produce our visual content and simply sustain the groundwork that independent theater demands. Your support helps us keep creating with care, clarity, and commitment.

And part of this crowdfunding will go toward the creation of our new production — a conceptual response to today’s crisis of identity in a post-humanist and technocratic society. Thanks to your support, we’ll be able to cover essential production costs – from materials and props to paying for rehearsal time.

If we raise more than our initial goal, all additional funds will also go toward developing the second season of 3rd Echelon Theater — filled with bold, unconventional new productions:

– A digital opera about exhausted transhumanism;

– Our first choreographic piece, a documentary ballet about fear and vulnerability;

– An anime drama about the impossibility of growing up, in the style of classic mecha anime;

– A performance on post-love: angels, loss, and a god-from-the-machine in the darknet;

– And much more, including international collaborations and partnerships with institutions.
