The Album
The project that I am planning is the production and recording of my fourth studio album in collaboration with renowned Brazilian producer, Grammy Award Winner (10 Grammys), Álvaro Alencar.
This is the first Album where I feel able to be brutally honest about my own ideas in music. The need to make music which is more spiritual, this is an Album for which I am ready to lay a lot on the line.
In that sense it is the most «Brendan Adams» record I have ever made. On the other hand this encounter with Álvaro Alencar is special since we come from different backgrounds, but feel a strong artistic connection so much so that we know we have to make this album together.
This album will also be an amazing collaboration involving musicians from many different cultures and countries: Switzerland, South Africa, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Cuba, Austria and Brazil to name a few. A bunch of very different people who have the same passion for music.
More than that, this recording experience will create a great platform for networking and just an all round inspiration. The themes are aimed at the working class people of our world. I hope you can relate.
We plan to complete most of the production in Switzerland during a period of 25 full days of rehearsals, arrangement, recording and post-production. The recording is planned for August 2012 and to be released by the end of November 2012.
Music for Good
The sponsored money goes to my new cd recording costs but in addition, 15% of the money raised will be donated to a non-profit organization supporting primary school projects in Cape Town. Here I will be in personal contact with the management of these organizations to monitor the progress that we make when WE MAKE IT!!
