A jar for compost

An innovative packaging for cosmetics

We are Maria and Natalie – two women with heart, brains, and humor, and a shared passion for effective cosmetics made from natural ingredients. Environment and nature are of great concern to us, so we design our products as a masterpiece of sustainability and efficacy.

👭 We met during our training in cosmetic production. Immediately afterwards, in 2019, we embarked on our journey together for cosmetics that are both people- and environmentally-friendly. By the way, we do everything ourselves – development, design, filling, and whatever else needs to be done, comes from our own hands.

✅ Our packaging is always recyclable and mostly circular. Just like our compostable super jar – it’s made of wood fibers and plant-based binders. The material is very similar to plastic, but it’s completely biodegradable and leaves no pollutants.

✅ Once the content is used up, you can dispose of the pot in the organic waste. Afterwards, it will be transformed into soil in industrial compost (according to the DIN EN 13432 standard) within 3 months. You can also compost it in your home compost, but it will take much longer and the duration depends on variable influences such as weather and temperature.

Now and in the future

Our natural deodorant cream «Nasenfreude» in the compostable pot is already available. It prevents odor and bacteria formation through baking soda, hand-mixed with soothing D-Panthenol. Plastic-free and naturally effective.

By the way, we are currently putting the final touches on our multi-part face cream series «MoorKultur», which is set to launch at the end of the year.

This is what I need backing for.

We plan to acquire new jars for our popular deodorant cream and simultaneously introduce a new line of facial care products. Both will be packaged in our compostable super jars, which, however, are not standard packaging material. Therefore, we rely on your support to acquire the needed quantity of 7,000 pieces. With this amount, we can not only bring «joy to noses» and care for faces but also make a statement for environmentally friendly cosmetic packaging.

Did you know that humans ingest the equivalent of a credit card’s worth of plastic each week (Source: MedUni Vienna, 2022)? That’s shocking, isn’t it? With our innovative compostable jars, we can change that and together help make our daily lives a little less plastic-filled.
