Our duo in a few words..
Our unusual duo daringly unite the sound of two very different instruments, highlighting their harmony and complicity.
We started working together after meeting through different orchestras (Orchestre de Chambre of Geneva and Orchestre de la Suisse Romande), we took up the challenge of mixing and enhancing the soft and powerful sounds of our instruments.
The lack of an original repertoire encouraged us to create new arrangements and construct an identity of our own. Our current program, titled «Sueño el Sur» offers some pieces by Piazzolla, Ginastera, Crespo, Villa Lobos, and Marquez.
It thus combines tango rhythms, Brazilian folk songs, and classical pieces by the greatest South American composers, all revisited by an original duo!
Our project is special because ...
A story that was born a little by chance, during a live radio concert. We decided to look for a captivating repertoire that would highlight our very different instruments. After a few years of trial and error, the programme is here, inspired by the world of tango, an original choice for our two instruments. The positive feedback from the public and the desire to share this repertoire with more people pushed us to take a new step, the recording of our first album. «Sueño el Sur» will be a dozen musical works, as many stories made of encounters and friendship. The complicity of two musicians who share the same origins and a high-level professional background. The collaborations with composers and arrangers and the precious exchanges that help and guide our interpretations. The advice and support of our colleagues, sound engineers, graphic designer and photographer who accompany us with the utmost professionalism. All this makes our project unique and strong! We also plan, thanks to the visibility that this album will give us, to develop our live concert by combining it with another artistic discipline… surprise! Follow us to find out more!
