What is analog magazine?
analog magazine, founded and curated by Daniel Espinoza, is a project dedicated to showcase and promote new and established talents working in contemporary analog photography and creative writing.
Our intention is to bring together a notable collection of artists from all around the world and present their work in a high quality and periodical printed-publication.
We want to exhibit artists and authors who add layers of meaning to their oeuvres without too many frills. People who convey strong feelings, who trigger emotions and who create art with which you need to interact in a creative way.
Why you should back this project?
Since the beginning of this year, analog magazine has been running as an online-publication with a lot of success and positive feedback. We have discovered and published many interesting artists of different origins who are sometimes overlooked by the industry. Now with your help is the time to bring out our first printed issue (which is more like a coffee-table book than a simple magazine), a sure-to-become collectible item.
In this number we will show the work of six talented photographers from different countries:
- Luca Bortolato from Italy presents a portfolio of poetical images that explore feminine beauty and express the relationship between artist and model.
- Tom Kondrat exhibits a minimalist series of medium format landscapes taken in Taiwan, which addresses the impacts of typhoons in south east Asia.
- Can Dagarslani from Turkey deceives our vision in order to reflect on personal identity.
- Andrea Tonellotto, also from Italy, presents a series of abstract Polaroids that shows a very creative and skillful way to compose images.
- From Turkey too, Eylül Aslan displays humorous images that challenge our imagination and make us wonder about absurdity in our daily lives.
- Finally Oliver Liria, who lives and works in the UK, shows a series of neat and colorful images taken at his everyday surroundings that resemble the best works of William Egglestone.
- All these works are accompanied by a fascinating short story by Fernando Sdrigotti from Argentina, which is guaranteed to rivet attention from start to finish.
As you can see, we have already produced a prototype of the publication and just need your support to make it happen!
With your help, analog magazine will combine digital and analog content in a unique way, constantly exploring and pushing the boundaries of publishing in the digital era.
