Join us in the field for several days! You can take part in the fieldwork activities and join us on shore, on the boat, or even underwater (if you have a minimum PADI/SSI Open Water with a last dive in the past 2 years). For an interested non-diver 1-2 exploratory dives can be organized, depending on the situation. Fieldwork duration and participation subject to weather, budget, and assessment of the team. Room and board included. Travel from within Europe mostly covered, depending on costs some co-payment may be necessary. Travel from outside Europe will be facilitated by us, but not included.

About the Initiators

We are a group of archaeologists, Andrej (formerly Uni Bern), Valentina (National Archaeological Museum), and Lukas and Johannes (Archäologischer Dienst Bern). We have organized and/or participated in underwater research in lakes in Macedonia, Switzerland, Albania, and Greece. Our expertise, besides excavations and documentation, includes dendrochronology and radiocarbon dating and modelling.
