Grosse Neuigkeiten! Ihr musstet lange Zeit auf diesen Moment warten und es tut mir wirklich leid. Aber es war mir wichtig, dass alles perfekt ist, und das braucht offensichtlich mehr Zeit, als ich dachte. Aber jetzt ist es endlich soweit.

Mein Debütalbum steht vor der Tür, und ich könnte mich nicht mehr freuen, es mit euch zu teilen. Physische Exemplare in den Formaten CD und Vinyl können ab sofort vorbestellt werden, für alle, die die Musik in ihren Händen spüren wollen. Du bevorzugst digital? Ihr könnt MP3s direkt auf meiner Website kaufen oder sie auf allen wichtigen Plattformen streamen. Ausserdem solltet ihr unbedingt einen Blick auf das neue Merchandise werfen, das jetzt online erhältlich ist.

Big news! Ya’ll had to wait for a long long time for this moment and I am really sorry. But it was important to me to make it perfect and that apparently takes more time than I thought it would. But we’re finally here.

My debut album is on the horizon, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to share it with you. Hi all

You had to wait a long time for this update. We have been working hard on the album and I can proudly say that we finally finished recording all the vocals yesterday. Now the songs still have to be mixed and mastered.

But - the first single of the album is called Hearts Don’t Bend and is already finished and I can finally say: IT’S COMING ON 26 MAY!

Why pre-save? What’s the point of it anyway?

Well, a pre-save on Spotify is comparable to the «pre-order» you know from the old days. The difference? It costs nothing and helps me enormously.

Lange musstet ihr auf dieses Update warten. Wir haben hart am Album gearbeitet und ich kann mich Stolz sagen, dass wir gestern endlich alle Vocals fertig aufgenommen haben. Nun müssen die Songs noch abgemischt und gemastert werden.

Aber - die erste Single des Albums heisst Hearts Don’t Bend und ist bereits fertig und ich kann endlich sagen: SIE KOMMT AM 26. MAI!

Wieso pre-saven? Was soll das überhaupt?

Nun, ein Pre-save auf Spotify ist vergleichbar mit der «Vorabbestellung» die man von früher kennt. Der Unterschied? Es kostet nichts und hilft mir enorm.

Thanks to your help, I actually did it. We raised no less than CHF 17,800 and I couldn’t be happier.

Where do we go from here?

Last week I sent an email to every single person who supported the project with a benefit. In it you will find information about the next steps for you and the benefits you ordered. I still need feedback from some of you.

If you haven’t seen the email yet, please have a look in your spam folder. It’s possible that the email slipped in there.

The «Thank You» cards have been printed and are on their way to me. The same goes for posters. Living room or private concerts are being planned (please reply to the email so we can work on this together).

For the vinyls and CDs you have to be patient a little longer. As soon as things become more concrete, I will contact you again by email. So please make sure that you classify my e-mail address (thisisauradavis@gmail.com) as «non-spam».

Thank you all. On Sunday we’re going straight to the studio in London to get started. The whole team in London and myself, can’t wait to get started.

Dank eurer Hilfe habe ich es tatsächlich geschafft. Wir haben sage und schreibe CHF 17’800.- zusammen bekommen und ich könnte nicht zufriedener sein.

Wie geht es denn jetzt weiter?

Letzte Woche habe ich jedem einzelnen der das Projekt mit einem Benefit unterstützt hat, eine E-Mail geschrieben. Darin findet ihr die Information wie es nun für euch und die bestellten Benefits weitergeht. Von einigen benötige ich noch eine Rückmeldung.

Solltet ihr die Mail bisher nicht gesehen haben, schaut doch mal eben in eurem Spam Folder nach. Kann gut sein dass die E-Mail da reingerutscht ist.

Die «Thank You» Cards wurden gedruckt und sind auf dem Weg zu mir. Dasselbe gilt für Poster. Wohnzimmer oder Privatkonzerte sind in Planung (hier bitte unbedingt auf die Mail antworten damit wir das gemeinsam angehen können).

Ich kann es kaum fassen. Heute Nachmittag haben wir das Ziel mit bisher 122% erreicht. In nur 7 Tagen sind sage und schreibe CHF 15’897.- zusammengekommen und ich bin absolut sprachlos.

Zunächst einmal möchte ich jedem einzelnen von euch HERZLICHST DANKEN. Dafür, dass ihr an mich und meine Musik glaubt, dafür dass ihr euch die Zeit genommen habt, dafür dass ihr Musik unterstützt.

Die Kampagne läuft noch weitere 23 Tage - bedeutet dass ihr weiterhin spenden könnt, wenn ihr wollt. Und um auch hier transparent zu bleiben, möchte ich gerne kommunizieren was mit dem Überschuss geschehen wird.

Die Produktion des Albums ist gesichert. Nach der Produktion ist die Arbeit ja aber natürlich noch lange nicht getan. Es gibt unendlich viele weitere Kleinigkeiten die in Kosten resultieren werden. Kosten, von denen ich bisher davon ausging, dass ich sie selber tragen werde.

Dank eurer Unterstützung, hat sich auch das heute geändert. Mit jedem Rappen der zusätzlich zu den CHF 13’000.- hinzukommt, werden folgende Dinge finanziert:

• CD- & Vinylpressung
• Booklet Design & Druck
• Musikvideos
• Fotoshooting für das Album & Promotion-Material
• Flugreisen nach London für die Studioarbeit
• Album Promotion

Also, ihr dürft gerne weiter spenden. Ich freue mich nach wie vor über jeden einzelnen Beitrag der hinzukommt. Mittlerweile habe ich auch ein paar neue Benefits hochgeladen. Beispielsweise habt ihr als Firma jetzt die Möglichkeit, als Sponsoring Partner im CD Booklet abgedruckt zu werden. Ich habe mich ebenso dazu entschlossen eine meiner eigenen Gitarren als Benefit zur Verfügung zu stellen. Und es gibt Poster & Packete die mehrere Sachen kombinieren.

I can hardly believe it. This afternoon we reached the goal with 122% so far. In just 7 days, a whopping CHF 15,897 has been raised and I am absolutely speechless.

First of all, I would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you. For believing in me and my music, for taking the time, for supporting music.

The campaign will run for another 23 days - which means you can still donate if you want to. And to remain transparent here as well, I would like to communicate what will happen with the surplus. The production of the album is secured. After the production, however, the work is of course far from done. There are endless other little things that will result in costs. Costs that I previously assumed I would bear myself.

Thanks to your support, that has changed today. With every cent that is added to the CHF 13’000.-, the following things will be financed:

• Booklet design & printing
• music videos
• Photo shoot for the album & promotional material
• Air travel to London for studio work
• Album promotion

So, feel free to keep donating. I am still happy about every single contribution that comes in. In the meantime I have also uploaded a few new benefits.
