Together for eSports - I need your support to realize an eSports tournament for my high school diploma project!

I am organizing a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO or possibly CS2) eSports event for my high school diploma project (Maturarbeit) in Basel. The tournament will follow the e-sports format of the ESL Pro League in terms of rules. There will be eight newcomer teams, with no or very little experience, from the Basel region. A team consists of five players. My goal is to gather all teams in one venue with spectators, so that an eSports LAN tournament can take place and the teams can gain valuable eSports experience. Additionally the winning team will get a prize.

Promote eSports in Basel and Switzerland in general and unite gamers from Basel and the surrounding region.

eSports is currently a growing field worldwide. Every year there are new teams that show their skills to the whole world, but only a few of them come from Switzerland and certainly none from Basel. That’s why I’m organizing an eSports event for my high school diploma project (Maturarbeit) in Basel, because there are not enough eSports tournaments in Basel, gamers can’t show their skills and can’t follow their dream to eSports. Through this event I want to promote eSports in Basel and Switzerland in general and unite the gamers from Basel and the surrounding region. This will be one of the first CS2 tournaments.

Gamer equipment, tournament venue and prizes

The money will be used for renting an event venue (including tables and chairs), for renting the necessary equipment (gaming PCs, screens and peripherals (headset, mouse, keyboard)), and for the participants’ prizes.
