Bales Dance Academy

Founded by ex-soloist of the Basel Ballet Galina Gladkova-Hoffmann, it is an established as a well-known school in Basel, attracting dancers from North-Western Switzerland, Southern Germany and the French Alsace. The BDA has a unique concept of offering a professional dance education while at the same time allowing the students to attend their normal school. The BDA is known for its yearly performances at the Théâtre La Coupole in Saint-Louis, France, its Christmas adaptation of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker as «The Golden Nut» and its yearly summer camp at Château de Villersexel. Besides classical and modern ballet, the BDA organizes regular musical theatre workshops and includes this style in its performances.

Why do we need your help?

While it is an honor for the Basel Dance Academy to be invited, travel and accommodation for the total of 35 dancers and staff are expensive and only partly funded by existing sources. Therefore, they are heavily relying on the generosity of friends, parents, grandparents, godparents and all people who support young dancers to make this happen.

Support and become part of the community

No matter what amount you can afford to support, we are offering you many nice rewards and all dancers and staff are looking forward to treat you with these!
