Short story about the project
A very good friend of mine reorganised her life after health problems a few years ago and invested all her savings in the purchase of a second-hand van and its conversion. She decided to downsize her life and live in a camper in the future. However, the conversion was botched at the time and now water gets in during heavy rain and spreads behind all the wood panelling and insulation, so that after 3 years the camper has a mould problem, which makes permanent living no longer possible.
What is special about this project
The special thing about this project is that she can live carefree again thanks to the support of lots of lovely people!
After the purchase and renovation 3 years ago, she has no means to carry out a new extension and would never dare to ask for help. That’s why I want to show her that there are so many great and lovely people out here. That’s why I’m making this crowdfunding attempt to surprise her.
I need your support for this
As mould spores are spreading everywhere, the interior is to be completely removed, the vehicle cleaned, re-insulated and everything replaced. This conversion should also create space for a treatment couch so that she can be more flexible with her new professional orientation.
Why not just buy a new camper off the peg: The problem with factory-built campers is that they are designed for holidays. They have a lot of comfort and everything inside, such as a shower. However, they are very cramped and offer no clever storage space, which makes permanent living impossible.
