As I am a choreographer myself, I have often worked pro boni in different countries. Now I would like to use my experience even more to help the artists in the long term.
The first ballets of this kind should be performed in Cuba, since this country and its inhabitants still suffer a lot from the American embargo and other things.
This is what I need backing for.
Funds are needed to bring together dancers from disadvantaged, poorer countries. The dance company should consist exclusively of performers who come from developing or 3rd world countries. The goal of the dance company is to create great dance performances as well as to provide meaningful, hopeful work opportunities for the dancers in these mostly disadvantaged countries.
