Dearest Supporter,
ich hoffe, es geht dir gut. Diesen Sonntag ist unsere Crowdfunding-Kampagne zu Ende gegangen – und leider haben wir das Ziel nicht erreicht.
Das bedeutet auch, dass alle ihre Beiträge vollständig zurückerstattet bekommen. Die Rückzahlungen werden von Wemakeit innerhalb der nächsten 7–10 Arbeitstage verarbeitet.
Trotzdem bin ich zutiefst dankbar für jede einzelne treue Seele, die an die Vision meiner kommenden Publikation geglaubt hat. Eure Unterstützung, eure Neugier und das Interesse von Institutionen und Kurator*innen bedeuten mir mehr, als ich in Worte fassen kann. Und so kitschig es auch klingen mag: Wenn sich eine Tür schliesst, öffnet sich irgendwo eine andere.
Auch wenn DARKROOM BABY in den kommenden Monaten wohl nicht erscheinen wird, hat mir dieser Weg wunderschönes Feedback und wertvolle Einblicke geschenkt – besonders darin, wie ich dieses Werk künftig aus einem neuen Blickwinkel fassen kann. Es ist nicht vorbei; es nimmt nur eine andere Form an.

Dear loyal supporter,
I hope you’re doing well.
This Sunday, our crowdfunding campaign came to an end and unfortunately, we didn’t reach the goal. That also means that everyone will receive a full refund of their contribution, which will be processed by Wemakeit within the next 7–10 business days.
Even so, I’m deeply grateful for every single loyal soul who believed in the vision of my upcoming publication. Your support, your curiosity, and the interest shown by institutions and curators mean more than I can say. As cheesy as it sounds: when one door closes, another one opens.
While DARKROOM BABY most likely won’t be published in the coming months, the journey has gifted me with beautiful feedback and valuable insights - especially on how to frame this body of work from a fresh angle in the future. It’s far from over; it’s simply taking another shape.

I am completely overwhelmed and so grateful for your support of DARKROOM BABY. These last three years have been the most exciting—yet also the most challenging—of my life. I’m glad I didn’t give up, because not everything that glitters is gold.
What carried me through these stormy times—between my first book release, a FORBES nomination, and the passing of my mother—was writing prose and poetry. So I’d love to share one of the most intimate pieces I’ve written over the past three years. It’s called «Johannisbeeren, 2023», and it will play a central role in the book.
