I’m Gini Brown – singer, songwriter, and former environmental scientist. After about three years working as a music editor in the Swiss music scene, I’m taking the big step as an artist with my first EP «Sun Down»: setting my path and painting the world of Gini Brown. «Sun Down» is a journey through darkness and back into the light: six songs about inner demons, loss, addiction, resilience, and the courage to keep going. Each track is a piece of me – honest and raw.
«Sun Down» is more than just my first EP; it’s a declaration of honesty. In a world where we constantly have to perform, present, and adapt, I want to create a space with my music for all these emotions. Each song is a chapter of my personal journey through darkness, born from real experiences, not calculation. I want to reach people who see themselves in these feelings – those who are struggling, searching, or simply need to know they’re not alone.
This EP stands for a return to authenticity. It invites you to listen again – not just to the music, but to yourself. In times of distraction, social media, and growing pressure, we need art that’s honest. Music that doesn’t sugarcoat, but connects. I believe vulnerability is a form of strength – and that’s where our humanity lies.
I see music as a collective form of therapy. It brings people together, builds empathy, and helps us feel what we often suppress. If even one person recognizes themselves in one of my songs and finds hope, this project has fulfilled its purpose.

My project is special because it comes from a unique perspective: that of a former scientist who once wanted to understand the world rationally and now explores it emotionally. In my music, light and darkness collide – deep themes like fear, addiction, and self-doubt meet melodies that breathe hope. In a time when many people carry heavy emotional burdens, I want to be a voice that understands – honest, vulnerable, and strong.

To make this vision come true, I need 11,000 Swiss francs. The money will go directly into studio production, mixing & mastering, and the release of the EP.
