We bring color to the world! We don’t offer the fish, we teach our artesans how to fish. Colourful textiles and art, which bring the joy of the artesans to the consumers, give good feelings to the artesans as well as the customers. This is our mission! This is what we stand for since 25 years. We are happy to follow this path. This is fair trade, this is El Tucan! The consciousness and appreciation for fair trade are rising, fair trade is trendy. This is where we come in.

Our Vision is…

…to establish a fair world trade! For our 25th anniversary, we offer our co-workers in Guatemala a platform so they can present themselves and their work to the world and more customers.

Swiss reggae artist Collie Herb will contribute his original song «Do The Fair Trade», written especially for this project. «Do The Fair Trade» will be illustrated with a colorful music video. Currently we are shooting the video on site in our indigenous artesans´ own homes in the highlands of Guatemala.

The Song is in English, but will contain some elements of the K’iche (Mayan)-Language. More about us and our projects can be found on www.eltucan.ch.

We need your help to spread the message of the artesans in a way that will show consumers the value of Fair Trade. All participants in the entire project are working free of charge. The studio and filming equipment rental fees, as well and travel expenses in Guatemala are necessary to be able to complete our project.
