The CDs are finished, many thanks to your support! We’re now in the process of preparing your rewards, which we’ll dispatch by post this week. The label will make its official release in November, but we’re pleased to be able to get your copies to you now. Album downloads will be available with the official release. Eure Wemakeit-, Facebook- und privaten Kommentare ergeben einen eindeutigen Gewinner: Doppelt so viele von euch bevorzugen das farbige Bild. Die Demokratie entscheidet also (auch wenn sich dieses Instrument kürzlich einen zweifelhaften Ruf erworben hat, denken wir nur an den Brexit oder an Donald Trump…), wir ehmen das Farbfoto! Sorry an alle, die für Sepia gestimmt haben! Es sieht gut aus, dass es mit dem Erscheinen der CD Ende August klappt!

Thanks for all the helpful comments! It’s come time to decide, and, between facebook, wemakeit and private messages, the 2-to-1 consensus is for the coloured picture. So we’ve let democracy have it’s say, despite a recently questionable track-record with Trump and Brexit… we’re going with colour! Sorry to those who voted sepia! Things are looking good for an end-of-August release!

The recording’s done and dusted, we’ve been approached by a label who will help gain our CD a wider distribution without compromising on what we promised to you, and we’re finalizing the design work, but now we need help! Which of the two photos would be your preference for an eye-catching front cover? Seductive sepia or classy colour? Yearning for yellow or pining for purple? We’ve decided to ask our fans to decide!

Die Aufnahme ist nun unter Dach und Fach. Wir haben außerdem ein Label gefunden, das unsere CD auf umfangreicherem Weg vertreibt, als wir ursprünglich gedacht hatten – selbstverständlich ohne Abstriche bei der Qualität zu machen! Jetzt geht es nur noch um das Design der CD-Hülle. Und dafür brauchen wir eure Hilfe! Welches der beiden Fotos gefällt euch am besten für die Vorderseite der Hülle? Das mit den verführerischen Sepia-Tönen oder das andere, eher vornehm in lila gehalten? Wir haben beschlossen, unsere Fans entscheiden lassen und freuen uns schon sehr auf eure Rückmeldung!

wir kommen gut voran mit der Umsetzung unserer CD! Wir haben dem Toningenieur jetzt unsere Anmerkungen zu seiner ersten Version des Albums geschickt, auch wenn es nur Kleinigkeiten sind, die wir gern noch verändern möchten. Er hat es wunderbar geschafft, das Beste aus uns und unseren Instrumenten herauszuholen. Wir freuen uns sehr, dass wir bald die ersten Belohnungen verschicken werden können!

The CD is coming along wonderfully! We’ve just sent a list of comments back to our recording engineer on his first edit of the album, although there wasn’t much to change, he’s managed to get the best out of our sound and instruments. We’re looking forward to sending out the first rewards shortly!

La réalisation du CD avance très bien. On vient d’envoyer nos commentaires à l’ingénieur du son qui nous a fait une première version de l’album. Même s’il n’y avait pas grand-chose à changer, il a très bien réussi à faire ressortir le meilleur du son de nos instruments ! On est impatient de vous envoyer bientôt les premières contreparties !

With two pledges claiming concerts yesterday, we are now at 12,299! When we started we thought our goal might be too ambitious, but we did not want to compromise on the quality of the result. Now we’re almost there, and excited that we’ll soon have a beautifully presented, professional recording of «The Journey». Many thanks to all those who have already supported us. To anyone still intending to, get involved now and be a part of something epic!

And here it is! The Sand Church, which is to say the church in Sand. It was a little thrill to see a few couples enjoying some romantic Valentine’s Day guitar music in the audience, and a huge thrill to play to such a packed venue! And yes, the first priest in Sand established a church in 1309… though it’s hard to read on the poorly-lit photo. We don’t know if he’d have anticipated De Falla and Houghton being played there, 706 years down the line. We’re half-way to our campaign goal, and looking forward to the next shows!

Two concerts down, and the campaign is gaining momentum! Last Sunday we played in the wonderful Cour des Boecklins in Bischheim, surrounded by the colours and imagery of Isabelle Staehle (www.istaehle.com). A cool and colourful visual artist, well worth checking out!

The bizarre thing about this campaign is that we can’t see who claimed what prize until it’s over. So whoever just bought a concert in greater Europe, thanks! We can’t wait to play for you! And find out who you are!
