Bringing manuscript experts together

El’Manuscript-2018 is the seventh in a series of biennial international conferences entitled «Textual Heritage and Information Technologies» that brings together linguists, specialists in historical source criticism, IT specialists, and others involved in studying and publishing our textual heritage. After Novosibirsk and Vilnius, the conference will now take place in the cities of Vienna and Krems, Austria.

The conference is organized by a committee of Manuscript experts from different research areas, such as: restoration, philology and computer science.

Our project is special because ...

This exemplary science conference propagates an interdisciplinary analysis-approach to all categories of written documents.

Along with the lectures, a summer school will be part of the conference, which will allow practitioners to become familiar with various systems and methods for working with manuscripts and texts.

This is what we need backing for.

We are raising funds for travel and accomodation costs for invited speakers at the conference. This is especially important for guests from countries, where the academic payment standards would not allow for a journey to central europe. With your contribution you can help us to make this international and inter-disciplinary gathering possible!
