What it's all about / De qué se trata
(EN) After the success of the first volume of my photo book trilogy, it’s time to publish the following two books. Thanks to the great support of my community, I was able to publish «Feiern. Veladas» last year. I’m counting on your support and looking forward to publishing «Ferien. Vacaciones» and «Freizeit. Vereda».
(ES) Tras el éxito del primer volumen de la «Trilogía de la V», ha llegado el momento de que los demás volúmenes vean la luz. Gracias al gran apoyo de los sponsors, el año pasado pude publicar «Feiern. Veladas». Espero contar ahora de nuevo con tu apoyo para poder publicar «Ferien. Vacaciones» y «Freizeit. Vereda», y así completar la trilogía.
Concept / Concepto
(EN) «Trilogie des V» is a bilingual book project with found photography around the theme of «leisure». This trilogy consists of three photo books in which I compile and arrange more than 800 photographs that I have collected over the last ten years at flea markets in Austria, Germany, and Spain.
Each of the books has a thematic focus: the first volume, «Feiern. Veladas» contains images of parties and celebrations, the second volume, «Freizeit. Vereda» brings together photographs taken during outdoor excursions, and the last volume, «Ferien. Vacaciones» focuses on bathing fun.
From a feminist approach, I use these set pieces to draw attention to a poetics of inaction. Each volume is preceded by a critical introduction from the philosopher Juan Evaristo Valls.
(ES) «Trilogía de V» es un proyecto editorial bilingüe en torno al tema de la vacancia. Consta de tres libros en los que recopilo y ordeno más de 800 fotografías que he recogido durante los últimos diez años en mercadillos de Austria, Alemania y España.
Cada uno de los libros tiene un enfoque temático: el primer volumen contiene imágenes de fiestas y celebraciones, el segundo volumen, «Freizeit. Vereda» reúne fotografías tomadas durante excursiones al aire libre, y el último volumen, «Ferien. Vacaciones» se centra en el baño recreativo.
Desde una perspectiva feminista, compongo estas fotografías creando una poética de la inactividad. Cada volumen va precedido de una introducción filosófica del Dr. Prof. Juan Evaristo Valls.
Why do I need you / Por qué te necesito
(EN) Volumes II and III will be published by ACHSE Verlag in Vienna—and I need your help for this. I am collecting pre-orders of both volumes here to guarantee the economical viability of the first edition.
Both books will be published in the same format as «Feiern. Veladas»: as a high quality designed photo book. Hardcover, thread stitching and fine paper are part of the book design. Your contribution will be used for printing, production, layout, and shipping.
The books will be delivered in the fall of 2022.
(ES) De nuevo, la editorial vienesa ACHSE se encargará de la publicación de los volúmenes II y III de la trilogía. Pero para que esto sea posible, necesito tu ayuda. A través de esta campaña de crowdfunding puedes pedir por adelantado ambos volúmenes y así ayudar a financiar su publicación, que depende enteramente de ello.
Ambos libros se publicarán en el mismo formato que «Feiern. Veladas» como libro de fotos de alta calidad. La tapa dura, la costura de hilo y el papel fino forman parte del equipo. Su contribución se destinará a la impresión, producción, maquetación y envío.
Los libros se entregarán en otoño de 2022.
