Grüezi mitenand, Konnichiwa!

Thank you once again for your support of our crowdfunding project. Arigatou gozaimasu for helping bring GINMAKU to life for its 11th edition…!

I have sent you all an email—if you haven’t received it, please kindly check your spam folder, as my new email address may have looked suspicious. I apologize for any inconvenience

We are thrilled to share that our special guest director Takeshi Fukunaga (director of Ainu Mosir and Ainu Puri) has safely arrived in Zurich. We are deeply grateful he made the long journey from Japan—with your support.

Our other special guest, director Sonomi Sato, will also be arriving soon. We hope to welcome both of them to full-house screenings. However, we are currently facing some challenges with the presale for «Shorts by Sonomi Sato», and I would kindly like to ask for your help in spreading the word about her beautiful films.

It will be Sonomi-san’s very first time screening her films outside of Japan. Your support will help us make her experience at our festival—and her time in Switzerland—truly special…!

Thank you so much in advance for your continued support. I am very much looking forward to welcoming you to GINMAKU 2025!

With my gratitude and warmest regards, Arigatou gozaimasu! Mizuki

Grüezi Mitenand, Konnichiwa!

Thank you so much for supporting our project.

It began just about a week ago, and ever since then, I have been feeling doki doki everyday like we say in Japanese. I’m so grateful that you are part of this journey with us. Arigatou gozaimasu!

As a small Dankeschön for your interest and support, I’d love to share a special news with you today!

Our opening film at Riffraff will be Ainu Mosir, directed by Takeshi Fukunaga. This powerful and moving film tells the story of the Ainu people, the Indigenous community of Japan, living in Hokkaido.

I first saw this film while I was in Japan, and within just a few minutes, I found myself dreaming of one day screening it in Switzerland—so I could share this beautiful, yet still little-known culture with dear festival visitors at GINMAKU.

Thanks to your generous support, that dream is now becoming a reality and I am already getting emotional oh no (you probably guessed that already)

Alright, back to work I go! Arigatou gozaimasu for thinking of our handmade festival.

The crowdfunding campaign will continue for another 3 weeks. I am sorry for not being able to thank each of you personally at this moment I will only receive your email addresses once the project is completed.

I appreciate if you could help us by spreading the word about the project and the festival. See you soon!

ありがとうございます!

With my warmest regards, Mizuki
