A leisure and climbing centre in Haute-Nendaz?
We launched Gravity Nendaz because we live here and identified a clear need at the heart of this beautiful resort. For over a year now, we have been working tirelessly in collaboration with local businesses, while carefully listening to the needs of the Nendaz community, in order to develop a thoughtful, well-structured project that truly responds to the station’s expectations. Gravity Nendaz will be located in the center of the resort, directly opposite the tourist office, and will bring together in a single space a bouldering gym, a children’s adventure area, and a bar & games area. The venue is designed for residents, families, schools, seasonal workers, and visitors. It offers an alternative to outdoor activities, especially in bad weather or outside peak season, and serves as a sustainable complement to the existing tourism offer. Suitable premises are already available: the former iconic village nightclub, «Le Lapin Vert», which provides a unique opportunity thanks to its central location and a layout perfectly suited to this type of project (ceiling height, mezzanine, changing rooms, restrooms, existing kitchen and bar). What makes Gravity Nendaz unique?
In Nendaz, there is currently no indoor activity facility. Gravity Nendaz was born from this observation: to create a place where sport, play, and social life come together. A space open to everyone children and adults, beginners and experienced climbers to climb, share, and connect all year round. Located in the very center of Haute-Nendaz, directly opposite the bus stop, the venue benefits from a prime location, offering excellent accessibility and outstanding visibility. The bouldering area will feature regularly renewed routes to encourage progression and repeat visits. The children’s adventure area, designed for ages 4 to 12, will provide a safe space where movement becomes playful. The bar & games area will extend the experience, welcome companions, and create an open meeting point. The venue will also live to the rhythm of the resort through clearly defined activities and events, such as:
- weekly climbing classes for children, teenagers, and adults,
- dedicated time slots for schools and camps (mornings),
- birthday parties and private events (families, companies, team building),
- regular events and activities: climbing nights, small local competitions, afterworks, and seasonal events.
These formats are designed to maintain year-round momentum and make Gravity Nendaz a key meeting place, even outside peak tourist periods, supported by a strong and engaged local community.
This is what I need backing for.
Gravity Nendaz represents a total investment of approximately CHF 270,000. This financing is already structured: CHF 50,000 in founder contributions, CHF 60,000 in private funds (investors, partners), CHF 100,000 in a bank loan, and CHF 50,000 through this crowdfunding campaign. With this campaign, our goal is clear and concrete: to raise CHF 50,000 to finance, together with you, the essential elements required for the opening. Your support will mainly be used for:
- the construction of the bouldering walls (approximately CHF 123,000),
- the structure of the children’s adventure area,
- safety mats, holds, and safety equipment.
How the project will take shape The work is already planned over an estimated period of 5 to 6 months:
- manufacturing of the climbing walls (around 4 months),
- complete painting of the venue,
- carpentry work (bar, reception, changing rooms, children’s area),
- installation of the walls and safety mats,
- installation of lighting, technical equipment, and games,
- final setup and preparation of the venue before opening.
By supporting us, you are directly helping to create a place to climb after work, a safe space where your children can stay active during winter, and a lively meeting place, even when it rains or when there is no snow. The opening is planned for the end of summer 2026, and this is thanks to you and the ideas that have supported us for over a year now.
