This is what it's all about.

Who I am and why this project matters to me

I’m 37 and live in Switzerland. Two years ago, I met my partner and her family in Thailand. Two months ago, I became the father of a son – and with that, Thailand has become more than just a place I visit. It’s now part of my family and my future.

During my stays in Tak Province, I’ve noticed how much of the land is farmed as monocultures. This makes agriculture vulnerable to extreme weather, drought, and crop failures. At the same time, the soil, wildlife, and natural diversity of the landscape suffer.

That’s why I want to build a different kind of farming with my family. On our land, we’ll plant fruit trees, grow vegetables, and create a fish pond – a small, diverse ecosystem that produces food, conserves water, and generates long-term income.

With this project, I want to show that farming and nature conservation can go hand in hand – for our family, for the region, and for the next generation.

My project is special because ...

Many rural regions face challenges like water scarcity, soil degradation, and a lack of economic opportunities.

With our project, we want to demonstrate how sustainable agriculture can help:

  • Store water efficiently
  • Improve soil quality long-term
  • Boost biodiversity
  • Produce local food
  • Create jobs on-site
  • Restore green landscapes

Every tree planted enhances the microclimate, protects soil from erosion, and provides habitat for wildlife.

This is what I need backing for.

The funds will be used for:

  • Excavation and expansion of the fishpond
  • Irrigation and water systems
  • Solar pump and infrastructure
  • Fruit trees and planting material
  • Seeds and vegetable production
  • Tools and equipment
  • Soil improvement and compost systems
  • Employment of local labour
