This is what it's all about.
Twenty years ago, a magical and unique space was born: the kamala gallery, dedicated to art, craftsmanship and culture. It also houses a jewellery workshop, a yoga shala and coaching in the use of Apple technologies.
But the story begins much earlier… Seventy years ago, in 1955, when Willy Knecht discovered this place and also set up a gallery here, or rather a cultural space to promote the ’4 Z’arts’.
I would like this winter solstice in 2025 to be SPECIAL: ’kamala Z’Arts’ will bring together artists from the Gallery, some works by Charles Cottet who exhibited in 1958 and paintings by W. Knecht. Two evening events with music for the festivities on 18 and 19 December. Come and discover the artists’ works, the events and the venue, if you don’t know it yet. Many people who pass by and enter for the first time are surprised to discover this place, even though they are from Lausanne… This double anniversary, marking 20 years of the gallery and 70 years since the place was discovered, is a wonderful story of synchronicity, creativity and collaboration that we want to share with the people of Lausanne and visitors alike… with you! And to open it up to the 4 Z’Arts… we need your help!
Your support to fund musicians and refreshments for the two opening nights
Honour the artists and participants. Pay for the musicians’ performances. Fund the cocktail receptions and buffets for the two-day event on 18 and 19 December… Fund part of the communication costs: flyers, cards, etc.
