Lausanne - a look at the city from a different perspective

The goal is to draw the viewers’ attention to the metal elements located around the city, which we see every day but do not pay much attention to them. Each photo is an immersion into a special world of metal aesthetics and its interaction with the city.

My project is special because ...

Hello, my name is Sofia Todorovska

Date of exhibition opening: 21.12.2024

This is my first exhibition and my goal is to draw the viewers’ attention to the metal elements located all over the city, which we see every day, but do not pay much attention to them. Each photo is an immersion into a special world of metal aesthetics and its interaction with the city, which reflect such important elements as light, safety, movement, energy and reconstruction. With my project, I also want to draw attention to the issue of self-realization of women who are immigrants or, as in my case, have refugee status. I’m a photographer from Ukraine, and first of all, I want to convey through my work the inner strength that remains with me despite external circumstances. Each of us has a source of strength inside us, a creative drive and a desire to bring our ideas to life. We are not afraid to express ourselves, to express our desires.

I want to show that when there is a real desire, there are always opportunities. We are never alone - there are always people who are ready to listen, support, and help.

That's why I need support.

Your support will be used to print photos and prepare them for the exhibition, print promotional leaflets and holding the opening of the exhibition
