The collectible grimoire
A «Modalo» (a made-up word) refers to a polysemous drawing inspired by a proverb or a quote.
During the summer of 2023, as I had to leave far from my girlfriend, I hand-drew a series of small cards inspired by my favorite quotes and gave them to her on the day of my departure. The number of cards matched the days of our separation, allowing her to draw one each day until we met again.
Later on, I showed these cards to my friends, and their enthusiasm encouraged me to take the project a step further. I then digitized my drawings and began imagining a universe around these quirky characters. That’s how the adventure of Kiddo, a young ice-cream wizard, was born.
This book, like a collectible grimoire for kids and grown up kids, tells his epic journey through the Four Realms of Knowledge. Along the melting paths of his adventure, Kiddo will meet 64 Guardians, each carrying a precious drop of knowledge. Collect them all to complete his story… and earn a legendary treasure. As with any true treasure, its contents remain a mystery… I can only tell you this: it is physical… and it shines.

The Four Realms of Knowledge
This universe is divided into four Realms, home to the 64 Modalos:
Fearamau, the Realm of Shadows, with 28 Modalos (common)
Misclarity, the Realm of Stars, with 20 Modalos (rare)
Salpowerta, the Realm of Crowns, with 12 Modalos (epic)
Solaging, the Realm of No Edge, with 4 Modalos (legendary)
How will your support be used?
Your support will help cover the printing costs of the book (in French, English, and German upon request), the production of the stickers, the creation of goodies, as well as shipping costs.
If the budget allows, I would also like to legally protect my designs.
If the funding goal is reached, deliveries can be made very quickly, as the book and illustrations are already fully completed. The only remaining time will be for production and shipping.
The stickers will then be sold in small envelopes containing 5 random stickers (Panini-style). These packs will be available on my website, as well as in a few shops in Fribourg with which I am already in contact. If the project grows, I am committed to finding additional partner shops in other cantons.
