The museum made of Lego bricks

The interactive LEGO® Museum - a place for dreams made of colourful bricks

A dream becomes reality:

We are building a unique, interactive LEGO® museum - an adventure space for children, families and all LEGO fans. It’s not just about looking, but about participating, building, marvelling and meeting people.

There is no such museum in Switzerland yet - we want to change that. With your support, we are creating a place that connects generations and promotes knowledge and creativity through play.

What exactly is it about?

This museum will be more than just an exhibition: It will be a lively meeting place that shows the creative world of LEGO® bricks in all its facets:

  • Large building corner for children: here they can build freely and imaginatively - for hours on end.
  • Unique exhibitions with own creations and changing models from private collectors.
  • Workshops and hands-on stations: Learning, tinkering and creating together.
  • LEGO® shop with rare sets and rarities.
  • Themed café with snacks such as the ’Noppenburger’ - for relaxed breaks.
  • Events & theme weekends for families, schools and LEGO® communities.

Who is behind the project?

My name is Bernhard. I’ve been a LEGO® fan since childhood and have a long-cherished dream: to create a place where like-minded people can come together, exchange ideas, be inspired and develop creatively. I am currently working on this project alone - but I am looking for helpers, partners and supporters who share this vision.

A dream made of stones

What happens next?

With your help we will finance the first project phase:

  • Founding a company and brand protection
  • Securing and renting suitable premises
  • Setting up a professional website

These two points fall into the second project phase:

  • First exhibition areas and construction areas
  • Designing the interactive stations and catering facilities

A concrete building has already been envisaged. Initial discussions have taken place with a member of the local council. My private Lego collection, with many sets from the 80s and 90s with a former purchase value of over CHF 75,000, is also ready. - The foundations have been laid!

As soon as we have the start-up capital, we will start renting the premises and renovating them. The museum should open within about 6 months.

What makes this museum special?

  • Not a standard museum: interactive instead of static - playful, lively, open.
  • Community project: Many of the exhibits come from private collectors - they change regularly so that there is always something new to discover.
  • Family-friendly: While children are building, adults can enjoy themselves in peace.
  • Unique in Switzerland: There is nothing like this here yet - we are building something completely new.

I need support for this

Why should you support this project?

Because we can create something unique together. Because creativity, play and community need spaces. Because LEGO® connects people - and we want to bring this magic to life for everyone.

You are not just helping to build a museum, you are helping to create a place of encounter, joy and imagination. Any support - whether financial, non-material or by sharing the project - brings us closer to this dream.

Let’s build together - brick by brick.

Follow our progress on the website, including the second project phase (under construction), or sign up for updates by email. Investors and supporters will receive regular behind-the-scenes insights.
