The story behind the project
Hello you ! We’d like to introduce you to our latest creation, a short comedy film: Nathalie. François Garnier is a successful director in decline, counting on his latest film to turn his fortunes around. His production company, on the verge of bankruptcy, no longer agrees to finance his megalomania and decides to cut costs ! They forced him to cast Nathalie, a cheese-maker by trade who had been discovered in a local advert and who naively thought she could promote her dairy. This comes as a real shock to François, whose career is at stake! Their backgrounds, their energies and even their vocabularies are in stark contrast. Nathalie’s inexperience mixed with François’ folie de grandeur promises an explosive cocktail capable of putting the most organised of productions to the test ! Will this unlikely meeting turn a predicted disaster into a dazzling success ?
What's special about our project
The originality of our project lies in the comic register used in the film: a comedy made in Switzerland by Swiss people. Produced independently by young industry professionals, this comedy is fresh and unfiltered ! The script, which takes you behind the scenes of the cinema, is punctuated by humour that is sometimes peculiar but always infectious !
This is what we need backing for.
The money raised will be used to cover production costs: equipment and location hire, catering, expenses for the technical team and the cast, who will be on location for 10 days, etc., and post-production costs: film editing, sound, creation of the original music and colour grading, because we want to give Nathalie the same quality of treatment as a feature film. Depending on the amount raised by this fundraising campaign, we will be able to reach different levels that will give this film the scope it deserves:
- CHF 40,000 - 1st level: this is the minimum amount needed to finance production of the film;
- CHF 55,000 - 2nd level: this amount will enable us to finance not only the production but also the post-production of Nathalie;
- CHF 65,000 - 3rd level: if we manage to reach this amount, we will have the budget required for the entire project and enough to finance its promotion at Swiss and international festivals.
