«Love to Wander» - A musical journey comes to life
Music has always guided me through my travels. Every step I took, since I devoted myself to music, felt right.
The beauty is; you find music everywhere in this world and it connects in an immediate way. No matter what background - music touches everyone, who carries their heart in the right place.
«Love to Wander» is mainly a musical album I’m working on since 5 years (!). After all this time, I can’t keep the songs anymore to my self; they are literally screaming - to be released!
Together with Ursula Suchanek, a very talented Violin- , Quinton player and singer from eastern Germany, we are planning to record the entire album live at Blacksmith Studios, having Rafael Fella from Eluveitie at the production, with the support of his wife and my dear friend & bandmate; Laura Fella from Faun.
The outcome will be a 9-15 piece album (I still haven’t quite decided yet), in digital, CD and Vinyl. In addition, I will be releasing «I Love to Wander»; a traveler’s book containing song-lyrics, poems and personal thoughts. It will go hand in hand with the musical record.
This is not going to be a usual process
After my last release «New Land», which came out in 2020, I have published two more Albums together with Faun; «Pagan» in 2022 and «Hex» in 2025.
There was not much time for my solo-project and I had some issues with getting in to the right mood for recording. Most musicians will understand what I mean: You walk in to your studio full of intention, but sometimes there is magic in the air and sometimes not. That’s why it can take days, weeks or months to record certain songs properly!
I love listening to old recordings from the 70’s or older. They mostly have been produced live and with less advanced technology then we have now. Still I can’t help but notice, that these recordings have so much life in them; they are personal and unfiltered!
«That’s the sound I wan’t!», I thought… Not only that! I also noticed that I perform differently in front of people, then when I am alone at home. When there is an audience, THERE is magic in the air!
So my idea is to record the entire album in three days, have friends sit down and listen, maybe ask some random people from the street to join… It might be an unconventional approach, while recording in a professional studio, but I’m ready for the adventure.
This is why I need you
As a full time musician, there may be enough income to make a living, but not enough to make big investments.
My latest album «New Land» was released on time with Covid. We (meaning my band I had those days) had a tour coming up, great reviews, we where ready to kick off! But Covid had different plans: Everything was cancelled. A couple years followed with no concerts nor socializing. All the income we would have made, that was needed for new productions, was not existent.
I could spend the next 10 years looking for a label, that’s willing to work with an artist who needs to start from scratch, or I can turn to you and ask for your direct support!
To make this project happen, also in order to pay everyone who will work with me in fair manner, I need to cover:
