Nothing Can Stop Us – Docu

A film about sports, strength and passion.

For nearly four years now, I (Tamara) have been the personal assistant to Dave and Raphi, two players on the Swiss Powerchair Hockey national team. During this time, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know the sport and the people behind it – whether at training in Nottwil or at the 2022 European Championships in Denmark. There have been moments of ambition, discipline, and joy, but also frustration and tears. With this crowdfunding campaign, I’m supporting filmmaker Christian Guggenbühl («Hitsch») of Hitschfilm – who developed the idea for this documentary – in financing and realising the film «Nothing Stops Us». Help us make this project a reality!

This long-term documentary follows the Swiss Powerchair Hockey national team on their journey to the 2026 World Championships in Finland – and beyond. The film showcases young athletes who push the limits of performance in their sports wheelchairs, setting new standards with courage, discipline, and team spirit. Key players like goalkeeper Noé Spirig and his teammates embody the diverse personalities and strengths that define the team.

Through encounters and conversations, a multifaceted story emerges – one of achievement, equal opportunity, and recognition. The film accompanies the team from training camps through personal challenges all the way to the 2026 World Championships in Lahti, Finland.

Why this film needs to be made

«Nothing Stops Us» is more than a film – it reveals a reality that has been overlooked for far too long. Powerchair hockey is elite sport – intense, tactical, emotional, and demanding. Yet most people are unfamiliar with the sport or the athletes behind it. That’s exactly what we want to change.

This film doesn’t portray people with disabilities as exceptions, but as a natural part of competitive sports. It expands the stage for athletes who don’t wait for recognition – they earn it. It shows what happens when people are defined not by their limitations, but by their mindset, their passion, and their contribution to the whole.

We believe visibility is a prerequisite for true inclusion. That’s why this film aims to create connections and open minds. «Nothing Stops Us» isn’t just meant to move you – it’s designed as a tool for schools, sports clubs, foundations, and organisations working in inclusion, education, and elite sports.

This crowdfunding campaign will help fund part of the professional production of this long-term documentary project – from filming to release.

A key part covers the World Championship in Finland: travel costs, filming with international players, and following the team on location.

The funds will also go towards a professional camera and sound team, as well as the extensive post-production – editing, sound design, and colour grading – which will give the film its final polish.

This will also make screenings and the film’s presentation in 2027 possible.
