Paws N’Riffs, what’s this exactly?

🐾 Project’s barketing director dog speaking here. It’s me on the pictures below, and my hooman, but she’d like to stay in the back, because this project’s priority is dogs, not her. And also there’s my Disney-like alter ego, to show how cute I am 🐾
I am an American Staffordshire Terrier, one of those dogs that people call «dangerous.» You know, the category that scares people… until they discover that we have hearts that melt faster than marshmallows over a campfire.
When my human adopted me, I was already a few years old and had a lot of traumatic experiences behind me. My previous human was violent and an alcoholic, and he hurt me a lot before dumping me into a shelter. My human saw beyond my bouncer-like appearance and recognized the professional marshmallow that I really am. And together, we fight against cardboard stereotypes.
She came up with the idea of creating Paws N’ Riffs: a brand to tell the world that neither tattooed metalheads (like her) nor big, muscular dogs should be judged on their looks, nor ANYONE else for that matter.
People may be afraid, but fear is irrational. And frankly, the only dangerous thing about us is that I snore loudly, like a Boeing jet engine, to drown out her music ⚡ «from hell» 🎸
Why we need your support?
That’s what will allow my human to launch this badass, eco-designed, environmentally friendly collection with no plastic packaging, because yes, you can be half tattooed excavator that barks in unison to Metallica- alike, and still want to fix the planet, or at least not break it any more 🌍🌱 yes, indeed ✅
This helps show that dogs like me deserve a better reputation. Yes, our breeds were created for guarding, fighting, and defense. But by whom? Humans. We didn’t choose.
You think saying «all Japanese people eat sushi, all Americans are fat, and all Swiss people are rich» is cliché, right? Because it’s not WRONG. So why is «all bullied breeds are dangerous» considered NORMAL? It’s a cliché. Like the others. And clichés are hard to break.
You see, human, that’s why I supervised. Even though my human understands computers better than I do, my little Rambo 🧡 made of sugar has a lot to say too ✨
Why the Paws N'Riffs project is «pawesome»?
Hello, it’s the human speaking again.
Paws N’Riffs is a project that’s close to my heart for many reasons. I’ve never cared about how people look at me, because the most important thing about my clothes, tattoos, and other things is that they please ME.
However, when I adopted a big dog, it immediately bothered me a lot more. The way people cross the street or pick up their little dogs when they see him «because he’s a pit bull» is annoying and, to be honest, makes me sad.
I’m not even talking about comments like «Why did you get a dog like that?» and other stupid things like «Aren’t you afraid he’ll bite you?» He didn’t choose his face or his appearance. Let’s remember that ALL dogs are descended from wolves, and that breeds such as Chihuahuas, Dobermanns, Labradors, and Dachshunds like every other, have been modified BY HUMANS.
I know I can’t change the world on my own, but that doesn’t stop me from doing my part to try to limit the damage. So that’s the story behind Paws N’Riffs.
I hope it resonates with you and that you’ll join us if misguided judgment is something that bothers you too. Even if you’re not a metal fan or don’t have a dog, you can’t judge a book by its cover, as they say. So let’s stop focusing on appearances, whether in people or animals. Because underneath, there’s a heart. Good or bad, you can’t tell only by looking at the package.
