From another time, from another place
Prisma is a rock band from Geneva, Switzerland formed in 2010. The group features Paulo Mendoza (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Dennis Benavides (lead guitar, vocals, synth) and Mauro Boffa (backing vocals, bass).
Coming directly from another world, the two half-brothers Paulo and Dennis arrived in Switzerland in 1998. Together, inspired by a dream of a mystical city – Iaras, the city of lights –, they start composing music under the influence of bands such as The Beatles, Nirvana, Jeff Buckley and Jacques Brel.

Their common passion for music, shared since their childhood, took them in a musical journey with synths and keyboads echoing melodies of fantastic sci-fi worlds. Thus, their track «City of Iaras» pays tribute Ridley Scott’s masterpiece «Blade Runner», which has been a major influence during their early teenage years.
In 2011, during a short stay on earth, the two half-brothers encounter Mauro, a talented Argentinian bass player arrived in Switzerland few years earlier. Sharing the same influences and love for music, they set the sparkles that started lighting fire-like riffs and musical fireworks.
The 3 space jockeys started their musical saga navigating from radios to gigs. Eventually, in 2014, they landed at the Kitchen Studios to begin the recording of their debut album with producer Yvan Bing.
