Livia hatte bereits als 12-Jährige auf dem Optimisten mit dem Regattasegeln begonnen. Nach ihrem letzten Olympiaprojekt auf dem 49erFX arbeitete sie bei der Sport Mental Akademie. Der Traum von Olympia liess sie jedoch nie ganz los, weshalb sie jetzt nochmals Vollgas gibt.
