CAELIA : a fragment of ocean

« I have always loved leather and its art, but also the marine world for its beauty and for what it does inspire. Coming across sea leather was thus love at first sight. The idea of creating a brand dedicated to marine leather and promoting this exceptional material in Switzerland was then obvious to me, and I finally came up with CAELIA.

Although not an exotic leather, sea leather has the look of one. It’s different from other leathers, which are often smooth and uniform, because the pattern of scales, never perfectly identical, is determined by nature itself. This living, almost wild character gives each creation its own identity. Our first salmon leather collection marks the beginning of the adventure. As part of this crowdfunding initiative, we are offering you brand new accessories, made in Italy by leather craftsmen.

• We have selected our sea leathers from a French partner. Using innovative processes, the tannery transforms fish skins from the French agri-food industry, which were initially destined for destruction, into top-of-the-range leather that is as strong as cowhide. This makes intelligent use of existing resources in an upcycling approach.

• CAELIA products are unique in Switzerland. So be inspired by our creations and take advantage of SPECIAL PRICES! Delivery in Switzerland and Europe (France, Italy, Germany = EU reward).

Your orders and donations will help us to sail the CAELIA boat ;) by allowing us to finance the e-commerce site and the first stocks of the salmon leather collection. However, our future ambition is to expand the product range (watch straps in particular) and to offer other types of sea leather.
