Joie de vivre on wheels
«Spielkabinett» is a planned mobile art therapy studio. Filled with art materials, such as paper, paints, brushes, pencils, clay, musical instruments, balls and theater costumes, it is meant to become a meeting place where playfulness, creativity and curiosity reign.
Particularly through its mobility, it is intended to enable collaboration with those target groups that do not have access to art therapy services. These include asylum homes, refugee accommodations, as well as youth and women’s shelters.
Overcoming borders
With the help of creative expression, language barriers can be overcome and new perspectives can be explored in a playful way. Art therapy enables the expression of the inner experience, in a safe framework. Where words are missing, colors, shapes, sounds and movements come into play. The challenging moments of one’s own biography can be viewed on paper from a greater distance or replayed and rewritten in a simple play. In this way, the past can be appreciated and witnessed, while new confidence and a sense of purpose arise from it.
I am deeply convinced that the world needs more creative spaces, where we can playfully take risks, fail humorously, and cultivate togetherness at eye and heart level. Where resources are mobilized and the resilience of the individual is strengthened, in the knowledge that this benefits us all and enables sustainable mutual growth, hand in hand. «Spielkabinett» wants to be such a space.
This is what I need your support for
In order to start the project, first of all a vehicle is needed, which will then be converted into an art studio and filled with creative materials. The funding goal of 35’000.- CHF will cover the purchase and the conversion of the mobile studio. Everything above this amount will enable my work in the first project phase (workshops, project weeks, individual offers) and will contribute to my master studies in the field of art, trauma, conflict transformation and peace building.
Thank you wholeheartedly for your support! It means the world to me.
