The Journey of Ink and Soul
A year ago, I flew to Taiwan. What was meant to be a simple cultural exploration transformed into a profound encounter that fundamentally shifted my vision of art. There, I crossed paths with Bin Chang, an artist whose brush seems to follow its own law.
Without sharing a common language, we established an invisible dialogue: the pure play of creation. What began as a simple artistic exchange became an initiatory path — one animal and two intentions for each painting. We found ourselves exploring, between East and West, the hidden legends and metaphors of a soul in search of itself. This book-grimoire became the witness of a friendship born in silence and raw expression.
Spiritual Alchemist is not a simple exhibition catalogue. It is a modern grimoire where Western alchemy meets Eastern divine transformation — Shenbian. Through 7 symbolic themes, each brushstroke seeks to capture «the breath of the spirit.»
From One Shore to Another: The Call of Switzerland
Having first seen the light of day in Taiwan as an exhibition and a book, this project now asks to take root here, in Switzerland. My wish is to share the richness of this experience with you and let these works resonate on our soil. This exhibition moves between shamanism and Taoism: the animals depicted become echoes within us, like the guardians of a living mandala.
Why Your Support Matters
For these works to arrive in Switzerland and be experienced here, I need to fund the transport of the paintings from Taiwan, the rental of an exhibition space, and the communication around the exhibition dates.
By supporting this project, you are not funding logistics. You are enabling a dialogue between two shores — two traditions, two painters, two ways of inhabiting the world — to continue its journey. And perhaps to begin your own.
