Veli & Amos arbeiten mit Malerei, Installation und Video. Ihre Werke sind vielschichtige, poetische Huldigungen, gespickt mit Querverweisen. Sie jonglieren mit Worten und Begriffen und sind in ihrem unverwechselbaren Stil romantisch, verspielt und politisch zugleich. Grenzen sind ein zentrales Thema im Werk der beiden Künstler. Wie lassen sich bestehende Barrieren überschreiten, Be- und Einschränkungen hinterfragen? Und wie reagieren Betrachter auf solche Interventionen? Mit Witz und (Selbst-)Ironie zitieren Veli & Amos die Realität der Street Art und transformieren deren Sprache und Stilelemente in den Kunstkontext.

Veli & Amos are a duo working with painting, installation and video. Their artworks are multilayered poetical references packed with portentous images and notions. Their unique style is romantic playful and political at the same time. Frontiers are a central focus of their oeuvre. How is it possible to cross existing borders/barriers? How to question restrictions and limitations? And how will an audience react to such questioning interventions? With wit and (self-)irony Veli &Amos cite contemporary street art and transpose its language and aspects into an art context.
