Summer Smile Day Camps 2026
Ascona, Gambarogno, and Locarno
This is what it's all about.
Our commitment grows from a genuine desire to create days that truly matter for young people. What drives us is the belief that every child deserves to feel welcomed, encouraged, and free to discover something new about themselves and others. The idea of contributing to small but meaningful moments of growth—moments that may become lasting memories—inspires us in everything we do.
We want the camp to be a place filled with enthusiasm, safety, and trust. A space where social interaction becomes real and meaningful through spontaneous friendships, shared laughter, and challenges faced together. For us, investing in the well-being of young people means investing in the future of the whole community.
To keep offering high-quality activities and to make the camp accessible to as many families as possible, we are looking for partners who share this vision. Their support is more than financial help: it strengthens our mission and allows us to reach even more children. In return, we provide sincere and coherent visibility throughout the entire initiative.
My project is special because ...
Over the past years, we’ve had the privilege of running two truly remarkable editions of our camp, filled with creativity, enthusiasm, and meaningful participation. Each summer, our aim has been to offer more than just a schedule of activities: we wanted to create a coherent thematic journey that gives depth, atmosphere, and purpose to each day.
In the most recent edition, the central theme was cinema. Every day began with a film that set the tone and guided the activities. The movie wasn’t just shown—it became the foundation for games, workshops, and reflective moments. For example, Disney-Pixar’s Inside Out inspired a full day dedicated to emotions, with activities designed to help participants recognize, express, and explore feelings in playful and creative ways.
This thematic approach helped us build continuity, excitement, and a strong sense of belonging—elements that now define our camp. The enthusiastic response from families encourages us to look ahead with even greater ambition.
After two highly positive editions, we are planning an important step for 2026: expanding to two camp locations, allowing us to welcome more families and offer an even more refined and accessible program.
This is what I need backing for.
We need financial support to ensure that our summer camps remain accessible, safe, and of high quality. As a young association composed of volunteers, our financial resources are limited and insufficient to cover all necessary expenses.
Support from our donors allows us to fund materials for activities, purchase safe and child-appropriate equipment, produce participant gadgets, and organize workshops, excursions, and educational experiences. Financial support also helps us keep participation fees low, so that all families—regardless of their economic situation—can provide their children with a rich, inclusive, and educational summer experience.
Your support is not just financial assistance: it is a direct investment in the well-being and growth of the youth in our community.
