Our idea
About the project: what is Hofladenradar? Hofladenradar is a free social platform for Switzerland that connects farm shops, small farms, direct sellers and rural walks with people who want to live more locally and sustainably. The platform shows farm shops, producers and outing ideas on one clear map so that a simple grocery trip can easily become a small countryside excursion, a family walk or a visit to a new farm.
For farms and local businesses, Hofladenradar is a way to become visible without expensive marketing packages or complex digital infrastructure. For users, it is a simple tool to find fresh products nearby, support small producers and get to know their region better. The platform already works as a web application and is freely accessible to everyone.

Why it matters
Why we are raising funds Right now the project exists and grows with very limited resources: it takes time, technology and infrastructure to run the site, develop features, maintain data and stay in touch with farms and users. Deliberately, there is no paywall – neither for people nor for businesses. Hofladenradar is designed as a public‑interest service, not as a closed, purely commercial product.
That is why we are turning to crowdfunding:
to avoid introducing paywalls and mandatory subscriptions,
to secure the survival and stable operation of the existing project,
and, if more is raised, to enable the next step – a mobile app that many users expect and that makes using the platform on the go much easier.

Goals and funding
Funding goals: 10,000 CHF and 20,000 CHF 10,000 CHF – survival and stability 10,000 CHF is our minimum goal. With this amount we focus on:
Operation and stability of the web platform Hosting, infrastructure, monitoring and technical support so that the site runs reliably and fast.
Further development and improvement of features Map, search, filters, usability, farm pages, multilingual support.
Data and content work Adding and updating farms, checking information, improving data quality and geo data.
Keeping the service free for everyone In this scenario we remain a public, open service – without paywalls and without compulsory subscriptions.
In short, 10,000 CHF means survival and sustainable continuation of the project in its current form, plus ongoing development of the web version, without pressure to monetise directly on the users.
20,000 CHF and more – expansion and mobile app If we reach 20,000 CHF or more, we can:
do everything included in the 10,000 CHF goal, and additionally
start developing a mobile app for Android and iOS.
Concretely, this means:
designing the mobile interface and navigation;
building an MVP app: farm map, list, filters, farm profiles, possibly simple favourites;
adapting the service for «on the go» use: finding farms and walks by geolocation, viewing routes comfortably on the phone.
This level of funding does not just keep the existing web offer alive – it lifts Hofladenradar to the next level of accessibility, from «at home in the browser» to «always with you in your pocket».
