Let’s create a unique space for dance and creativity together!
Dance is more than just movement – it’s expression, passion, and a way to inspire both yourself and others. With the ground, we are building a dance studio that embodies exactly this spirit: A space for movement, creativity, and community. We want to create not just a dance studio, but a place that brings people together and helps foster a more inclusive society. Dance is a universal language that knows no boundaries – regardless of origin, gender, age, or social background. Our studio is meant to be a space where everyone is welcome and can express themselves freely.
With the ground, we aim to create a space where everyone feels safe and valued, and that helps break down prejudices and barriers. Our vision is to build a creative and inclusive community where dance serves as a tool to foster empathy, understanding, and solidarity.
Our motto is «Where Dreams Take Root and the Sky Is the Limit» – because the ground is the place where dreams take root and everyone has the freedom to go beyond their limits. A place where dancers of all levels can unleash their passion – from the first movement to the big stage.
However, the journey is not easy, and we need your support to make our vision come true!

To make «the ground» a true home for dance and movement, we want to invest in high-quality equipment. A professional wooden floor is essential for dancing healthily and dynamically. It needs to be stable yet gentle on the joints, allowing dancers to move confidently and freely. We’re also investing in high-quality mirror walls so that everyone can analyze their movements and work on their technique.
A powerful sound system will ensure the music sounds amazing throughout the room, making every session full of energy. At the same time, we want to install different lighting systems to create the perfect atmosphere for each dance style – from powerful Hip-Hop and Breaking sessions to emotional Contemporary and Improvisation classes.
Additionally, we plan to divide the large space into 3 rooms, so that dancers, choreographers, and artists can rent areas at fair prices – whether for large groups or smaller, intimate sessions. This flexibility makes the studio accessible to a wide community and creates space for various projects.
We’re also facing unexpected costs: The fire safety regulations are stricter and more expensive than originally planned. In order to make the ground not only an inspiring but also a safe place for everyone, we need to make additional investments.
Also, the classes need time to grow. New teachers need a ramp-up phase to build their classes and establish stable groups. To allow them to focus on teaching and their students during this time, we want to provide financial security during the initial phase.
These are all crucial steps to making «the ground» the place we envision: A space where dance, creativity, and community thrive – a foundation where dreams grow and no limits exist.
This is where we need your help
The base financing is in place – but to make «the ground» a place where everyone feels comfortable and can train at their best from the start, we’re relying on crowdfunding. With your support, we can further equip the studio and sustainably support the development of the classes.
Our minimum goal is CHF 7,500 – to finance the essential equipment for «the ground».
But if we reach more, we can achieve even more: • CHF 10,000 → Support for new teachers in the early phase of building their classes • CHF 12,500 → Additional equipment for classes in the areas of fitness & functional training • CHF 15,000 → Furnishing a 4th room, which can also be rented out
