What is it about?

This documentary short film will portrait a child living a 24h day on the streets of Phnom Penh in Cambodia. What is his routine? Why is he not going to school? What are the challenges of every day street life? What are the highlights and dark moments? This film will paint a straight forward picture of the contrast to western world.

Background

In 2010 we (Sophal & ND Strupler) visited Cambodia with our two kids. The trip has awakened a deep compassion for the 20,000 children living on the streets of Phnom Penh. This lifestyle perpetuates the poverty cycle by depriving these children any opportunity for growth. We wanted to do something to change that! This summer we will go to Cambodia again and spend one week working with street-children projects in Phnom Penh as a whole family.
