Young Swiss People are Amazing
We are a team of three authors who have researched, interviewed and written about people who deserve to have their stories heard. Our hope is that these inspiring biographies of extraordinary young people, each with a stunning portrait by Mireille Lachausse, will reach as many young people as possible all across Switzerland. To do that, we want to start by holding a festive launch at Volkshaus Zurich for at least 200 people – teachers, parents, authors – and most especially, young people. Some of the people in the book will be performing, showing their work and telling their stories, including: Lucas Chiche, an accomplished and professional pianist at the ripe age of 16, performing all over the world with symphonic orchestras; Levi Fitze, natural photographer capturing the beauty of the Alps to share with people; Nasha Dimitri, daughter of famed clown Dimitri and a performer herself; Marvin Grob, transforming the service industry into an art-form. The budget for producing a book in three languages only goes so far. We hope to raise the necessary funds to host the event, as well as continue spreading the word throughout the coming year, to see if we can place the book in as many hands as possible and inspire young people to follow their dreams.
Kids need inspiring role models
Children and teenagers need role models they can relate to. When they see what other young people have accomplished through passion, perseverance, and kindness, new possibilities begin to feel within reach. We hope these stories encourage young readers to believe in themselves and take the first step toward their own dreams.
