Alto Minho Youth Orchestra

This is what it's all about.

Alto Minho Youth Orchestra, this project aims to offer young musicians from all over the world, a week of conviviality, sharing and fun. With this project, we want to engage people and musicians in cultural exchange and meaningful gatherings. Since 2019, we have tried to organize all kinds of projects but the famous COVID-19 did not let us go forward. Now, and with your help, on August 8, we will start this wonderful internship, surrounded by beautiful music and beautiful people.

My project is special because ...

This project is different because it’s not just a musical project, it’s a cultural exchange project. After two very difficult years for everyone, we would like to offer a week of formation, where we will no longer have restrictions, giving a free pass to our musicians to learn and enjoy this city where the sea is 2 minutes away by foot and 3 minutes by bike. Speaking of bikes, this is an ecological project where participants will have a bike as a means of transportation. The idea is to make people aware of the ecology and the care for the environment. Directed by Nuno Coelho, a great conductor who leads the largest orchestras in the world, this orchestra workshop will share with the public a huge musical quality.
