This is what it's all about.
Three young musicians of the «Bochabela Strings» from Bloemfontein, South Africa dream of playing with Pforte Kammerorchester Plus in Feldkirch in February 2026. But without your help, they will stay at home. For these young people, the trip to Europe would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: music at the highest level, encounters across borders and experiences that give hope. To make this dream come true, they need our support. We are collecting donations for travel, visas, accommodation and food during their stay in Vorarlberg.
Bochabela means «where the sun rises» in Sesotho. Your support lets the sun rise – in Bloemfontein and in the hearts of these young musicians. Help us let music build bridges – from South Africa to Feldkirch!

My project is special because ...
Bochabela means «where the sun rises» in the Sesotho language. And that is exactly what this project is about: hope, encounters and mutual learning across continents.

This is what I need backing for.
Three young musicians of the Bochabela Strings from Bloemfontein, South Africa, are invited to make music in February 2026 with Pforte Kammerorchester Plus in Feldkirch – an international ensemble that plays without a conductor and in which every part carries responsibility.
For these young people, this invitation would be a dream come true: they come from financially and structurally difficult circumstances, but they burn for music. In Feldkirch they will experience community, equality and openness – experiences that are not a matter of course where they come from. They will return to Bloemfontein with new confidence, pride and hope – and they will pass this on, through their music, in their community, in their lives.
Some may ask: Is such a long journey really worth it? We say yes – because these encounters create change that lasts. Because the positive experiences, the mutual understanding and the human warmth that arise here have an impact far beyond the concert itself.
Music is a universal bond – it connects, heals and offers new perspectives. For this dream to become reality, we need support:
We are collecting donations for travel, visas, accommodation and food during their stay in Vorarlberg.
Your help lets the sun rise – in Bloemfontein and in the hearts of these young musicians.
Together we show that music can build bridges – from South Africa to Feldkirch, and further out into a more hopeful world.
