What my project is about
My new project is a short film based on a script I wrote. After completing two short documentaries in the last two years, I wanted to focus on writing again in order to more specifically address certain topics that still interest and concern me. I want to do the production in Tyrol again to have the advantage of being supported by family and friends, but also to give my origins and surroundings an important role in the script.
The story and motivation
The story of the film is about a 28-year-old man named Salva and his girlfriend Sophie. The two seem to have a loving relationship, but Salva has problems. Shortly before they go to a mountain lake for the weekend, Salva doesn’t know whether he should take his pistol with him. But Sophie doesn’t know anything about it, she just suspects that there’s something strange about him. The two spend the day at the lake and Sophie talks about their future together. Salva listens, but always seems to be lost in thought. When it begins to get dark, Salva drives Sophie home. They say goodbye and then Salva goes home too. Shortly after he locks the motorcycle, a car drives up and stops close to him. A door opens and he gets in without hesitation.
General topics and questions that interest me and that I want to give importance to in this story:
– Willingness to invest in issues/desires/expectations – Partnership relationships and building a shared future – Ability to learn from and deal with mistakes – Openness/honesty vs. secrecy – Confrontation and confrontation with the inevitable end
Production
The money will be used to finance the project. Main departments are the wages of crew members, eq, post production etc. An overview of how we allocate the budget is provided in the grahic.
Backers will have the opportunity to buy smaller rewards e.g. poster, t-shirts etc, or for the big rewards you can get investor status, and be mentioned in the credits as executive producers
