This is what it's all about.
The project is about producing a short film from start to finish. The script is already written (details below), and now we need to make the rest happen. This inlcudes setting up a team (e.g. dop, gaffer, art director, stylist etc.), casting, location scouting, creating of a shoot schedule etc. We already worked on the budgeting and potential production dates, and aim to shoot the film end of summer in september 2022. We will complete the film by spring 2023.

My project is special because ...
The project resp. the production of this short film is based on my first script. The main reason for writing this scipt was, that i wanted to explore new ways of storytelling, away from the commercial point of view and focusing more on sustainable work. The story centers around themes which have been from interest in my life. We will also shoot the film around my hometown Innsbruck, and i will involve friends and family in the production. This will create a unique environment for my first short film.
The story of the film is about Sophia, a woman in her mid thirties which decides to spend some time in a cabin in the forest by herself, in order to reflect about her life and to get away from personal duties and responsibilities she has. Not long after her arrival, her partner Jack visits her, and they talk about their daughter Melissa. During a conversation the problematic situation they’re in will be revealed.
I aiming to create a philosphical approach to the questions which will appear in the film, with some of the main topics beeing:
- the importance of family
- the roles in family and society related to our gender and sexuality
- our needs and how are we dealing with them
- the choice of our physical environment e.g. city and nature as a contrast
- the significance of our unconscious

This is what I need backing for.
The film will be shot within 3 consecutive days. As the production of a short film involves quite a few costs e.g. camera and lighting eq, location, transport, catering, team wages etc., we’d like to ask you for your support.
