Chur & Graubünden Crooked

This is what it's all about.

The publisher Somedia and I want to produce a bilingual (German & English) book titled ’Chur (& Graubünden) Crooked’ featuring the best of my paintings of 40+ years in Chur and Graubünden in Switzerland. The 160-page book in A4 size comprises some 100 colour reproductions and 15 stories of my experiences as an artist in the region. It will retail for CHF 29. The total cost is around CHF 25’000, of which about one third is already covered.

My project is special because ...

This book is the sole collection of the best of 40+ years painting in my signature crooked style in the canton Graubünden. The canton virtually vibrates in colour and movement. The crookedness comes from my ’5th Perspective’, which I developed over many years to counter the normal, boring perspectives, and which has been the subject of many articles in the international press. Added to that are 15 stories that let you share my unusual experiences as an artist in the region. I believe this book will enrich the cultural landscape of Graubünden and Switzerland.

The book ’Chur (& Graubünden) Crooked’ is set to be published by the publisher Somedia, it comprises 160 pages, measures A4, and features up to 100 colour reproductions plus 15 stories. The publisher figures a cost of about CHF 25’000, with CHF 6’500 for printing preparation, corrections CHF 550, CHF 12’950 for printing and production, CHF 2’800 for publisher coordination, CHF 1,865 for stocking (also in other countries), CHF 1’610 for advertising, postage, etc.. I will forego an author’s honorarium. That’s pretty expensive, and to cover that I need your active support.
