An air of change and renewal !
After some 15 years in its Charrat headquarters, circus Zôfy is about to embark on a major change.
With David Widmer and Solange Widmer-Bagutti due to take over the management of the school in 2021, the school is continuing its renewal and has decided to move into new premises.
Circus Zôfy will be moving into a brand-new hall, just a 10-minute walk from Charrat station.
Investing in new equipment and relocating all the current equipment will require a substantial budget. We’ve launched this crowdfunding campaign to appeal for your support and to offer you some great rewards for your generosity.
Pigr, the Valaisan’s favorite illustrator and press cartoonist, who dreams of his next life as an acrobatic tightrope walker, is supporting us with his pencil stroke! He’s sketched a beautiful circus bear for us, which you can proudly display at your next trapeze lesson!

My project is special because ...
The Zôfy circus school has been established in the Valais region for over 20 years. It endures thanks to its commitment to its students, its outreach and all the budding artists who have continued their training and are now recognized professional artists.
When Solange and David Widmer-Bagutti took over the management of the company, they injected a new dynamic and pedagogical direction. A family & collective circus where the values of inclusion, autonomy and openness are important.
By supporting this crowdfunding campaign, you will be helping to ensure the long-term future of their project, and enabling future budding artists to flourish at the circus school in the best possible conditions.
This is what I need backing for.
The money raised via this crowdfunding is only part of a global budget that will be used for :
For the move:
-rent a truck -rent an overhead crane -rent a skip
For installation :
-a sign for the new hall -new circus equipment: mats, -rigging equipment: carabiners, bungee cords, rope clamps, straps, spencets, ropes.
- truss structure for hanging aerials
