We are the Coquette Jazz Band, a traditional jazz group based in Austria. The band was formed to bring back the golden age of jazz to audiences across Europe. The main profiles of the ensemble are danceable swing music from the 1930’s and the sound of the Dixieland revival era.
The Coquette Jazz Band plays their own innovative arrangements along with popular melodies from Fats Waller, John Kirby, Bix Beiderbecke and Duke Ellington.
We have already released two successful albums, entitled «Isn’t This A Lovely Day» (2017), and the «Jive At Five» (2018) with Elina Viluma (voc), Daniel Hofecker (tr), Milos Milojevic (cl/sax), Matyas Papp (tb), Matyas Bartha (p), Hrvoje Kralj (b), and Oleg Markov (d).
We got the honor to play a concert and record an album with a word-class soloist, Frank Roberscheuten.
Frank is one of the best saxophone/clarinet players on the actual European traditional jazz scene. He worked with names such as Dan Barrett, Rossano Sportiello, Antti Sarpila, Engelbert Wrobel, Martin Breinschmid and with ensembles like the Metropole Jazz Orchestra, The Dutch Swing College Band, Marty Grosz And His Hot Puppies just to mention a few.
We collected an amazing repertoire with great swing tunes, beautiful ballads and hot arrangements specially written for this occasion. We cannot even describe how excited we are to be able to make this happen, but we would need your help!
We want to invite you to join us on this journey.
With your support we would like to complete this production. Mixing, mastering, photo shooting, video recording and the artwork are all needed in order the have the album released by the end of this year.
Have a look on our pledges, that we put together for you! You can pre-order the album, have a dedicated one, have all three albums as a package, or you can choose from other special products.
Every contribution is welcome! Thanks for sharing it and telling it to you friends.
Help us making this dream come true! Thank you very much and see you soon!
