Cultural Center Grinzland

This is what it's all about.

The non-profit organization Verein «Geschichte. Kultur. Wein in Grinzing und Umgebung (GeKuWe)» (in English «History. Culture. Wine in Grinzing and the surrounding areas») operates in Grinzing, Vienna, Austria. GeKuWe is being formed to open Cultural Centre Grinzland. The goals are to preserve cultural and historical heritage of the region, provide information services to visitors of Grinzing and cultural programmes to residents. Cultural Centre Grinzland will house the museum, gallery for contemporary art exhibitions, a venue for cultural programmes and a play/art zone for children. The Organization will run various cultural programmes, publish brochures about Grinzing and produce video materials.

My project is special because ...

The idea of founding the Organization is based on the understanding of the need for a Cultural Centre in Grinzing which could accumulate and present all information about historical and cultural sites, natural landscapes, people who lived there. The project is unique in its format and has important meaning for the cultural and social development of the region. This idea is supported by local representatives, who take an active part in cultural and social life.

This is what I need backing for.

We are looking for funding to pay for the initial start-up costs of rent, venue reconstruction, equipment and legal costs.
